Once upon a time, in 2007, with a twinkle in their eye, Devil City Swing jumped in to a pumpkin and headed to the ball. The ‘Roaring 40s Ball’ was held deep in the heart of winter in the little nook of Copping. The Ice Queen tried her mightiest to keep the children in the town, but the warm hearts of the dancers prevailed and the weekend continued.
Under the cover of the darkest night, Devil City Swing escaped the clutches of evil and settled in the cosy town of Kempton. There, it was able to blossom in the woods, unnoticed by the wicked witch, until the dawn of its seventh birthday.
The seventh year of DCS brings you all your favourite stories. The one with the drinks, the one with the blues party at Woodfield Lodge, the one with the cooked breakfast on Sunday morning, the one with all of the dancing and the one where you get to “Choose Your Own Adventure”.
In 2013, it is time for DCS to kiss the frog and live happy ever after.
Be in Hobart, Tasmania on the weekend of 28th – 30th June for a fairytale ending.
Devil City Swing – “Happily Ever After” – come to an end, everything must.
